What jobs are you applying for, is what I believe you need to ask yourself. I too feel called to teach God's word but I also need to provide for my family. I work in the manufacturing area and volunteer as a youth leader. This is not what I want to do for employment but I do it and it gives me the ability to provide for my family. I do teach and if Lord willing a full time teaching opportunity is to arise I will go. Not all teachers are in church buildings, they are needed in the working world as well. I reference Genesis 29 because I think of Jacob who had to work so long for his love doing something he did not want to do but he was faithfull and rewarded in the end. Pumping gas might seem like something not to consider but God calls us not to be idle and you will be rewarded. |
