Hi, jackstatum! No, God did not create evil! God created all that exists, invisible and visible, He saw that it was good and He was pleased (Genesis 1:1-31) Genesis 3 tells us about the first human instant of disobedience--caused by the ancient serpent who was intent on destroying God's Creation. This ancient serpent is Satan, an angel previously known as Lucifer who attempted to overthrow God from His Divine Throne (Revelation 12:3-4, 7-9; Isaiah 14:12-20; Luke 10:18). From the beginning it was Satan who introduce sin/evil onto Creation (John 8:44). What we know about God is that God is Light and in Him there's no darkness: God is Holy and in Him there's no sin/evil. (1 John 1:5-7) God Bless! Angel |

3 | How do you substantiate your answere? | Gen 1:31 | Stultis the Fool | 127164
Hello Angel! I cannot say that you have substantiated your answere. Knowhere in Genesis 1:1-31 does the scripture tell us that God created Satan and that "it was good." Also, darkness came first, and this is verified when we read that Satan sinned from the beginning [1 John 3:8]. How do you explain these things? Genesis 2:9 tells us that God created the tree of knowledge of good and EVIL. The tree most certainly had attributes both good AND evil. How do you explain this? Knowhere in the scripture is Satan described as "an angel previously known as Lucifer." Not in Revelation 12:3-4,7-9; not in Isaiah 14:12-20; and not in Luke 10:18. How do you explain your statement? Also, if the answere is "No," how do you explain Job 26:13 "By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent." Consider Ecclesiastes 7:13 "Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked?" |

4 | How do you substantiate your answere? | Gen 1:31 | DBR | 127169
The following text show Satan at work, only an angelic creature could possibly copy another angelic creature. 2 Cor 11:14 And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. We could say an Angel of Darkness copying God's righteous angelic messengers, for bad ends. The Devil made himself, a good agngel that did bad, the first to sin, for the purpose of getting humans to worship Him insted of God The Creator and he started with Adam and Eve. Lucifer reffers to the King of Babylon not the first Wicked one, Satan. This “king,” that is, the dynasty of Babylon, ‘lifted himself up’ in his own heart and was in his own eyes and in the eyes of his admirers a “shining one,” a “son of the dawn.” (In some translations the Latin Vulgate term “Lucifer” is retained. It is, however, merely the translation of the Hebrew word heh·lel´, “shining one.” Heh·lel´ is not a name or a title but, rather, a term describing the boastful position taken by Babylon’s dynasty of kings of the line of Nebuchadnezzar.) (Isa 14:4-21) Since Babylon was a tool of Satan, its “king” reflected Satan’s own ambitious desire. DBR |
