Hello G ZAZ I have to say this verse is not the fall of Satan partly because God called it all very good. Also, Ezek 28:12-13 seems to place Satan in Eden in his beauty and perfection. Steve |

3 | Is Genesis 1:2 the fall of satan? | Gen 1:2 | G ZAZ | 46943 | ||
Genesis 1.1 In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth. There is nothing wrong here with the earth, but then this happend. . . Ezekiel 28:15-17 You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you. By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence with, And you sinned Therefore I cast you as profane thing Out of the mountain of God; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the fiery stones. Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I CAST YOU TO THE GROUND, I laid you before kings,That they might gaze at you. In Genesis 1:2 It mentions void and darkness. We know that satan is also the prince of darkness and that darkness is a symbol of evil. Also in this verse it does not say it was good. In verse 1:3 we see that God said let there be light. We know that Christ is the light of the world and that when it was said to him good teacher, He replyed why do you call me good ONLY GOD is GOOD. Also in verse Gen1:3 after there was light God said it was good. Let us look at the creation of the earth and man. Both created by God, both were void and full of darkness,the earth void because of satan full of sin and because adam man became full of sin. both needed light in them to make them good. We are full of darkness until we receive christ as our Lord and savior. Christ is the light of the world. John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people He said,"I am the LIGHT of the WORLD. whoever follows me will never walk in DARKNESS,but will have LIGHT of life. John 11:9 Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours of daylight? A man who walks by day will not stumble, for he sees by this world's light. John 11:10 It is when he walks by night that he stumbles, for he has no light. Genesis 1 ..And God called the LIGHT DAY and the DARKNESS NIGHT. When do most evil things happen ... at night or at darkness. Here's another one. Genesis 1:16 Then God made two great lights: the GREATER light to rule the day (sun) and the lesser light to rule the night. Satan is prince of darkness, Jesus is the light of the world. Genesis 1:2 ... and DARKNESS was on the face of the deep. 1 JOHN 1:5 ...God is light:in Him there is no darkness. Genesis 1:26 Let us make man in our image, according to Our likeness; If we are in the likeness of God, it means we had no darkness but now that we are void we now need the light of christ to restore us. God is showing you the fall of man in Gen 1:2 and Christ enter our world us man we too can be very good. For in Gen 1:2 Christ is that light. Satan could not have his way in Gods heaven, so now he is ruler over the earth. Your mind is your heaven and now satan knows if he gets control of that heaven he can rule your earth which is your body. Take this to God and see for yourself what he says. Don't take my word take His Word for it. God created the Heavens and the Earth in six days and rested on the seventh. Man stops working around about his 6o's most humansdie or rest when is there 70's I'm not 100 percent sure on this one, but the earth is 70 percent water so is man. Well thank you for replying steve please feel free to come back to me and anyone else out there who can help me. |

Hello G ZAZ Your allegorical approach to the passage makes little sense to me. I prefer a literal approach where God created the earth in its most elemental state (like a ball of clay but not formed--"without form and void"). The remainder of Gen 1 explains in simple terms how God shaped and added to that. Steve |

Hi steve God bless you in the name of JESUS. I surpose we all have our own idea on this matter. It's where we got the info from and was it confirmed by God and do you feel at peace in your spirit. When lightning strikes it strikes at speed and power. So if lightning were to hit a building some how I don't think It would be in a good state. In fact it would be more like waste, a formless mass, void. If every that God creates is good why would He create waste or is this the out come when satan was thrown from heaven. Would God Himself throw him out or would get one of His angels. Would He be ushered out or thrown out like the speed of light. In Genesis 2:18 we see that not all was good in Gods creation. But by the end of the day it was good. And by the end of creation it is very good. Genesis 2:18 And the Lord God said "it is NOT GOOD that man should be alone; I will make him a help comparable to him". When God and very good, it was after He had finished His work. I saw satan fall like lightning from Heaven. Luke 10 vs 18 Satan was thrown out of heaven with a third of his angels. They were thrown down to earth. Rev.12 vs 4 His tail drew a third of stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. Rev.12 vs 7 And war broke out in heaven:Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail,nor was a place found for them in the heavens any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old called the Devel and Satan,who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth and his angels were cat out with him. I if you could explain your view in more detail, I'd be most grateful. Because I would like to be open minded about this. I may not have explain myself in the best of ways, and I'm not here to force you or anyone to believe my views. Only to give it some thought and take it to God, for He is the final Word. I feel at peace with the revelation that I got from the Lord. Look forward to reading from you or anyone else. God bless you and have a bless week in JESUS name. G zaz |

Hello G zaz Let me put it this way. If I have a lump of clay, it's formless and void. There are no distinguishing characteristics or defining marks. It's a blob. Then I start to form something by adding shape, design, even color. At each stage I call it good because it's what I want done and is a step toward the completed product. Incrementally, something with purpose is formed. In the end it is complete, and I say it's very good. That's how I see Genesis 1. God started out with a mass or blob, and day-by-day He shaped and added to it with increasing complexity, with the pinnacle of that creatorial work being mankind. Each step demonstrated an additional facet of God's glory so that His eternal power and divine nature are evident (Rom 1:20). Steve |
