1 | Who are we? | Gen 1:26 | John Reformed | 46253
Hello Serentime, We are creatures created by God. We were formed from the dust of the earth and had life imparted to us by the breath of our Creator. The reason we were created was so tht we may glorify the One who made us and enjoy Him forever. Your question is an unusual one, in that the answer is obvious and basic to all who have even a passing familiarity with the Bible. Were you looking for a "deeper" meaning. John |

2 | Who are we? | Gen 1:26 | serenetime | 46286
Dear john reformed and to all, I don't know how it happened, but the scripture I meant to put in was referring to Eph. 4:6 Eph 4:6 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. KJV I can understand why you felt that my question was an unusual one when pertaining to Gen. 1:26. Thanks for your input. In the Living Water of the Father, SERENETIME |

3 | Who are we? | Gen 1:26 | John Reformed | 46292
Hello Serenetime, Whenever I have a question about a particular term in a particular verse, I look at the context of the passage in which the term appears. Eph 4:4 "There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift." It is clear that "us all" ("we" as you put it) are believers. Do you see how I arrived at my interpretation? Do you agree with it and if so why do you agree? Your Brother, John |

4 | Who are we? | Gen 1:26 | Julian Hawyah | 57402
If you note the context of the book of Ephesians Eph 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: It's clear that this book is written to and can be applied in light of those who are faithful (gk. pistis - believers) in Christ Jesus. Along with those saints (believers) at Ephesus. I am interested in your and Serenetime's talk on letting the word of God interpret itself. I'll have to post an in-depth guide on letting the scriptures interpret themselves soon. God Bless, Julian |
