1 | What was the Name of Lots wife? | Gen 19:15 | Jim Estes | 176710
Hi Searcher, You are correct that Iscah is not mentioned in Genesis 11:31, but neither is Nahor or Milcah. I think it as likely that Iscah left Ur of the Chaldees as Nahor and Milcah. The context of Genesis 12:29 indicates to me that Iscah was a daughter of Haran, sister of Milcah, rather than a brother of Lot. The name means “Palm Tree” according to Strong’s. Strong’s also says she is the “daughter of Haran,” drawing the same inference. Yours in Christ, Jim Estes |

Correction to my last note: According to Strong's Concordance Iscah means "Watchful" not "Palm Tree."
