1 | Righteous, Unrighteous and Children? | Gen 18:28 | kalos | 12374 | ||
Does anyone seriously believe that God's judgment of a city is based on the spiritual status of infants and newborn babies? Ezekiel 16:49-50 (NASB) "Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had arrogance, abundant food and careless ease, but she did not help the poor and needy. "Thus they were haughty and committed abominations before Me. Therefore I removed them when I saw [it.]" Were these sins and abominations commited by infants and newborn babies? "Come now and let us REASON together." |

"But were they righteous?" There is absolutely nothing in these passages that lead us to believe that the children were righteous or unrighteous. Therefore, the answer to your question cannot be gained from Scripture, and any answer or conclusion to thereof would be based purely on nothing but speculation. I have written this to reassure you, not to continue to debate this point any further with you, since we have already debated on this issue long enough. --Nolan |
