1 | Righteous, Unrighteous and Children? | Gen 18:28 | Searcher56 | 12221
It bothers me that the children in Sodom were not considered righteous (Gen 18:27-30). Is there another catergory besides righteous and unrighteous? I hope so, but, I cannot find it in the Bible. Please help. Romans 1:18-20 came to mind. I don't think the children understand what God has revealed. |

2 | Righteous, Unrighteous and Children? | Gen 18:28 | kalos | 12374
Does anyone seriously believe that God's judgment of a city is based on the spiritual status of infants and newborn babies? Ezekiel 16:49-50 (NASB) "Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had arrogance, abundant food and careless ease, but she did not help the poor and needy. "Thus they were haughty and committed abominations before Me. Therefore I removed them when I saw [it.]" Were these sins and abominations commited by infants and newborn babies? "Come now and let us REASON together." |

Dear JVH0212, Yes, and I am most certainly in agreement with you here. However, this whole 'judgment of a city' interpretation has come up before, I hate to say.. And again, we are responding to misinterpretations of the verses or concepts applied. To find the "old" thread that deals with 'judgements upon cities' one need only search for the Matthew 11:22 thread or just look up the word "firehydrants" and you will find the thread instantly.. :) In that thread we also dealt with the 'placement of blame' and countered misinterpretation that referred to judgment upon a city. Grace to you, Nolan |
