1 | Did God really walk around the garden? | Gen 18:1 | Lionstrong | 31310
Dear BWJ: Gen 1:26 does not say that the image is the body. The verse simply says that God made man in His image. It does not say the image was a body. You have wrongly infered that the image is a body from this verse. God does not have a body. Deut 4:12 "Then the LORD spoke to you from the midst of the fire; you heard the sound of words, but you saw no form--only a voice...." Why did the Isrealites see no form, but only heard a voice? They saw no form because God is invisible. 2 Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 1 Tim 1:17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. Rom 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. Why is God invisible? Because God is spirit. (John 4:24 "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." Luke 24:39 "See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.") Gen 2:7 Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. Like other creatures that God made to inhabit this world, we have bodies. God made man's body from the dust of the ground, not from himself. Man did not become a "living soul" until God breathed into that body. The breath that God breathed into man is God's image, not the body that he made from the ground. So, man's invisible spirit is the image of God, not man's body. Peace, Lionstrong |

2 | Did God really walk around the garden? | Gen 18:1 | BWJ | 31549
God is Elohim - God the Father - Spirit God is Yaweh - God the Son - Jesus - Flesh God is Yamashea - God the Holy Spirit. The Father never leaves the Throne Jesus became flesh and became our sin, is the first, the last and the inbetween. He was even before the Creation. The creation took place in God, in the spirit, before it became flesh and what we are experiencing today. The Holy Spirit caused what God the Father "Said" to come to pass. After the fall God drove man from the Garden where the tree of Life was. We have a situation where a spiritually dead Adam could turn around and eat from the tree of life and live for eternity in a spiritually dead state. The scriptur says, now lest they become as "One" of Us"...... and then they were removed from the garden, so that they could not eat from the tree of life. The "One" of us, was Jesus (Yaweh), who knew sin back then, therefore the sacrifice had to have taken place prior to the creation. Difficult to understand but give it a study and you will come to the same conclusion. As to the physical attributes of God, it has to be. If we are made in the image of the Trinity, then the Trinity is in our image. The image of a rock is a rock. God encompasses more than we do at this time, but that is what they are talking about when they discuss, how we are to become as Jesus is. We are to grow in our spiritual life until we can do the things that He did and even greater things because He has gone to the Father. We are pretty awesome beings, not because of what we are doing, but because of what Jesus has done. This can all be derived from Genesis. The Scripture says "Let us make man in "OUR" image. Thus there is the Spirit of Man, which is not "Invisible", it is just not visible to our human eye. I like to refer to it as "God Speed". When we are out of the body, we will operate at God Speed and will see each other. This is supported by Revelations, where John "Sees" One "seated" on the Throne. We are seated at the right hand of the Father etc. We are as we are now, only perfect, and probably around the age of 21 appearance wise, as the sin factor is what deteriorates the flesh. If you or God the Father, or Jesus are "Seated" then we are sitting and what we are sitting on is our backside, whether God or Man. John recognized Him and he did not describe Him as a ghost, he described Him as "One".He described the throne, the candles etc. and etc. so if he was being accurate in regards to those items he was being accurate about the "One" on the throne. When he described Jesus, he described a Man with the Light and Life and Love of God coming from within. We are to be like this when everything is complete. We will also have immortal flesh instead of our current eternal flesh and our life will come from Jesus within, not the blood as it is here on earth. Basically I agree with a lot that you say, but the spirit realm, birthed the flesh realm, so we simply have a flesh covering that the Father does not have, but Jesus does have. Adam and Eve walked and talked with Jesus in the Garden of Eden, he was called Yaweh (do a Word Search). They could be in His Presence and not die, but Aaron two sons went into the Holy of Holies, without purification, and instantly died, because they were spiritually dead men and the Life in the Holy Spirit overcame the Death in them. We can live in the presence of the Holy Spirit because we are Alive in Jesus. Sin was paid for at the Cross. |
