Nolan ... Gen 13:2 mentions how rich Abram was by silver and gold. Gen 20:16 mentions shekels. However, I understand it was a weight and not currency. The first mentioned of coinage, is the Persian daric (Ezra 2:69; Neh. 7:70) and the 'adarkon (Ezra 8:27). |
