1 | MANIFEST FATHERS NAME | Ps 83:18 | kalos | 4825 | ||
God's name is Jehovah or Yahweh. (See also Ex 6:3; Isa 12:2; Isa 26:4 in the KJV or the ASV 1901.) If anyone doesn't understand this, he either a) can't read; or b) doesn't believe the Bible. God's Name is also the Lord Jesus Christ. The Father is God. The Son is God. The Holy Spirit is God. The Father is not the Son; the Son is not the Father; neither the Son nor the Father is the Holy Spirit; and the Holy Spirit is neither the Father nor the Son. The doctrine of the Trinity is one of the essential doctrines of the Christian Faith. It is inappropriate to declare that the Jehovah's Witnesses are not Christian because they don't believe in the Trinity, and yet say that there are other denominations or persons who reject the Trinity, but who, nevertheless, are Christian. |

Its very simple to know which one (Jehovah or Yahweh) you should use. Yahweh is God's personal name in hebrew. Jehovah is God's name translated into English. In Hebrew, Jesus would be closer to “Yehóshua” and Christ would be “Mashíahh.” So, as we say “Jesus Christ” in the English language, we also say “Jehovah,” both being correct when speaking English. So we use the name in te language we speak in. It would be silly to use Yahweh when speaking English because some say it is more "holy". Would use Juan(spanish rendering of John)when speaking about someone named John? Of course not. |
