mincc, Jesus is quoting from Psalm 82:6. The passage is generally understood to be a referral to the judges or other leaders or rulers whose tasks were divinely appointed. See also Exodus 22:28; Deut.1:17 and 16:18; 2 Chron.19:6.
2 | Based on Psalms 82, are we "gods"? | Ps 82:6 | mincc | 20791

My question is why did Jesus refer to Psalms 82, which is talking about judges, to defend a charge that he was God Almighty? My second question does John 10:34-35 give men the right to call themselves "little gods"? |
