Dear Brother Jeff, Yes, there is nothing new under the sun. But let's also remember that God always has His remnant. You can be encouraged, though, brother. That "unlearning" process of which you speak is always indicative of the Holy Spirit's work in the life of a true believer. We have walked many years in the false counsel of the flesh, the devil, and the world. It takes time and effort to "reprogram" our thinking in accordance to the counsel of God. Your struggle and the headway you've made is direct evidence of your belonging to the Lord. Through it we are reminded that the Holy Spirit is active -- the "roll up your sleeves, and get in there and work" kind of active -- in the filling of us of His deep "knowledge of God's will in all wisdom and spiritual knowledge." He is bringing completion to the work that He has begun in you. Therefore, be encouraged! In Him, Doc |

Thanks for the encouragement Doc. When I first began to realize the Bible has something more and in some cases different to say other than what I had understood it was disturbing. It wasn't long though before I realized I was actually being blessed. It's what taught me to study vs. just reading and listening to others. I am encouraged, thanks, Jeff |
