Nolan: Thank you for your many kind words. But if I have done anything well, it is "not I, but Christ." My thanks to Charis and Hank, as well as to you, for the abiding friendship and encouragement of you all. Additionally, I owe a tremendous debt of thanks to the following: Dr. Oliver B. Greene, evangelist; Dr. Cyrus Ingerson Scofield, whose monumental work continues to educate and inspire me after 30 years of using it (for more info see www.scofield.org); Dr. Charles Caldwell Ryrie, Th.D., Ph.D.; Dr. John MacArthur (pastor and teacher, author and editor, broadcaster), whose biblical interpretation I trust in and rely on more than anyone else's; Hank Hanegraaff, President of Christian Research Institute, who is my radio and online mentor; Dr. Harold Lindsell, author and editor; Dr. J. Vernon McGee; Dr. D. James Kennedy, pastor, teacher, author, and defender of the Faith; the Lockman Foundation for the Amplified Bible, the New American Standard Bible, and StudyBibleForum.com; the editors and translators of the New American Standard Bible; and many others too numerous to name. And I wish to give my very special, heartfelt tribute of thanks to the translators of the American Standard Version of 1901 for their awesome and preeminent work. |

My dear friend, JVH0212.. I congratulate you again today, my friend, in a new way! Not presumptuously, or to 'surpass' you in any way, but to show you my mutual acknowledgement and respect on what an Achievement 1,000 posts on this Study Bible Forum really has been! :) My dear JVH0212, this is my 1,000th post, and I echo you in what I couldn't have said any better, "But if I have done anything well, it is 'not I, but Christ.'" I thank you for your encouragement during my time of contribution on this Forum, and I also owe a good bit of gratitude to our fellow beloved brother, Hank, who was a constant encouragement and continues to be! Thanks to you all who have helped me to make this accomplishment possible! I also want to thank the Lockman Foundation for making such an accomplishment possible, for I would not have had the chance or opportunity to meet you all if it was not for their creative intuition and guidance.. 1,000!!! Nolan Keck But if I have done anything well, it is "not I, but Christ." |

(To my knowledge Nolan is only the second person ever to submit 1,000 postings to the Forum. Well done!) Congratulations, Nolan, on your achievement. And thank you for your kind remarks. Truly you, as well as Hank H. (both of them :-) ) have been an encouragement to me. When I last checked your total postings, 7-21-2001, 12:39 PM, you were at 954. Now you may wish to take a rest and recharge your batteries. You learned a lot in the process of posting 1,000 submissions, didn't you? And not all of it was about the Bible, was it? You learned about yourself, others and human nature. A total of 1,000 postings "feels like" 2 or more years of earned college credits in Bible, doesn't it? |

Thank you, JVH0212! Yes, I've seen my overall knowledge and wisdom of the Bible grow by leaps and bounds! It feels like I've been through a on-going college correspondence course in all facets of the Bible, Church history, etc., etc.. And it has definitely paid off! (I don't have to pay tuition!) Yes, I learned much about myself and gained an introspection of where I was and how far I've came. I may answer one more question or two, and then I'll be done for the night for some much needed rest... Thanks again, JVH0212! The other member of the 1,000 post echelon, Nolan! |
