1 | Thanks to God? | Ps 30:12 | Asis | 85266
justme Three years ago I started to have signs of a heart attack. I prayed that God would not allow it to come to pass. I had been praying 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. I was quiting smoking and I was starting an extreme diet in two days, I had turned from my wicked ways. The pains seemed to go away and I thanked God and praised Him. I slept good that night. In the mornig on my way to work the pain came back. Much worse than the night before. I feel that I was afraid to acknowledge that I might die from this. Now here is the point of my story. I became aware that if I died because of this I would be with Jesus and if God wasn't finished using me for the work He had for me I wasn't going to die. Either way that was a good thing. It was a win-win situation. A peace fell upon me so great that when I went into my bosses office and told him I was having a heart attack and he should call 911 he did not believe me. Lord, I ask that the peace that is beyind all understanding would come upon justme right now. Your word says That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. God even thopugh we cannot see each other we are gathering in the name of Jesus and we ask for healing for Ray and justme. Lord we are touching ion our heart as if we are in contact like my wife and I just were, agreeing in petition for justme and Ray. Lord I thank you that you are a God that answers prayer. We look to you for our provision. You are the healer, the great physician. We thank you for your touch upon justme and Ray. Praise you Jehovah Rapha, Jehovah Jira, Jehovah Shalom. We come before you in the name of you precious Son Jesus. |

3 | Thanks to God? | Ps 30:12 | Ray | 85338
Hi justme, I was deeply moved by the prayer of Asis also. (I don't know if he is a Ray or not). I give thanks to God for all the brethren here. I've noticed that the three times in Thessalonians where thanks to God is given it is for the brethren. I pray also "that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ". 2 Thess 2:14. Just a note for information concerning "thanks to God". Luke 2:38, Acts 27:35, Romans 14:6 twice, Col 1:3, 1 Thess 1:2, 2 Thess 1:3, 2 Thess 2:13. Thanks be to God: Rom 6:17, Rom 7:25, 1 Cor 15:57, 2 Cor 2:14, 2 Cor 8:16, and 2 Cor 9:15. I have many thanksgivings to God, but thanks be to God, the One who leads us in triumph in Christ, and I hope that we may make known to others the sweet fragrance of knowing Him. 2 Cor 2:14 From the heart, Ray |

4 | Thanks to God? | Ps 30:12 | justme | 85382
Ray: I have found over the years that saying thank you when somone complements you, and when given an expression of concern or empathy, it is hard to know what to say in return. I feel unworthy of the praise or concern. Know what I mean? Did you know we are both very close in age? You are just a year plus a few months older. I read Psalm 23 in the Daily Bread this morning. All of a sudden it took on a new meaning. Then I keep reading to chapter 26, All these verses were very soothing to my being. Thanks again and blessings to you and your family Ray. justme |
