1 | Where does the Lord put arms around you | Ps 134:2 | Morant61 | 172924
Greetings Eklektos! Your comments about children reminded me of Hos. 11:1-4: "‘‘When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son. 2 But the more I called Israel, the further they went from me. They sacrificed to the Baals and they burned incense to images. 3 It was I who taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by the arms; but they did not realize it was I who healed them. 4 I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love; I lifted the yoke from their neck and bent down to feed them. 2 | Where does the Lord put arms around you | Ps 134:2 | eklektos | 172927
Hi Tim, The last line of your verse contains more imagery than all the words one can say about our Father. Though He is the Master of All Creation, and the Great Potentate with no equal, Most Omnipotent, with His Throne in the Heavens, He says: "and (I) bent down to feed them." We are children! Unmerited Grace. eklektos Uoo!, got goose bumps on that one! |
