Hi, business woman! There are numerous Scriptural passages in the Old Testament which speak on Yahweh's love and protection of Israel, His chosen people... these verses speak on Israel's rescue from the various places of captivity and the time they will be brought back to Jerusalem the City of the Great King where they will no longer suffer the oppressions of their enemies and will find joy and happiness in the Lord their God! When we read the Old Testament we find many chronicles of Israel's disobedience, their rejection of Yahweh and His Laws and their subjection to serviture in the hands of their enemies as God allows them to be removed from the Promised Land and scattered around the nations... still God's Promise is not dissolved by Israel's disobedience... there's an appointed time when Israel will be called back into the fold and both nations will be one. (Romans 9:30 thru 11:12) God Bless! Angel |

Read Isaiah 35:10- I believe this is talking about the restoration of Israel to zion. Vs 6 ref. Isaiah 61:3 some time when we go out witnessing for God we do it weepingly because so many don't understand us or just don't care for what we are giving, (sowing seed) the word of God , but remember this one thing God's word will not return back to him void it will accomplish what it set out to accomplish. so we so Gods precoious seeds and reap in rejoicing when it returnes. | ||||||

Hi, matronsgt13! True that much is written in the Old Testament that is dealing directly with the Old Covenant... but much of what is written transcends into the Second Coming... the final victory for Israel is not the earthly Mount Zion but the Spiritual Zion the one that comes at the fullness of times... There's a wonderful duality in Scripture that not only applies to a moment in time when Israel was composed of only the twelve tribes... but it encorporates the Incarnation of the Word, the inclusion of the Gentiles and the restoration of Israel. God Bless! Angel |
