Greetings johntelesoft! "113:7,8 the poor. This is borrowed almost exactly from Hannah's song in 1 Sam. 2:8. God is responsible for both the rich and the poor (Proverbs 22:2). God's compassion reaches out to the poor and needy (cf. Ps. 72:12,13). Ultimately, Christ came to save those who are poor in spirit (cf. Is. 61:2; Luke 4:18)." (1) "He raises up the poor from the dust; he lifts the needy from the ash heap to make them sit with princes and inherit a seat of honor. For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and on them he has set the world." (1 Samuel 2:8, ESV) If we look back at 1 Samuel 2:8, we see the princes, or nobles (NASB), being mentioned in this verse, and the poor have "a seat of honor" with the nobles, or those who have been blessed by God with prosperity. And in 1 Samuel 2:8, "Hanna declares that life and death, prosperity and adversity, are determined by the sovereign power of God.." (2) I hope this helps!
