1 | Moses and the Promise Land | Ps 106:33 | toneesbride | 139654
Can you add some insight for me? When God told Moses that he will not be able to see the promised land after living his life for God and making a mistake, I just don't get that he can never enter the land but he can go see it. It seems like right until the end the Lord punished him. You can look at what I was going to give you but you will die here? Pls help me to understand. Thanks, |

2 | Moses and the Promise Land | Ps 106:33 | JCrichton | 140120
Hi, tonees! Jesus made a statement about believers, He said that to those who are given much would be demanded of them and that to those who much has been trusted much more will be demanded of them! (Luke 12:48); James words it a little differently, but basically it speaks on our responsibility in the eyes of God (James 3:1)... Moses had been placed in a singular possition of authority over Israel and though he served faithfully for many years, he allowed the bickering of the people of Israel to cause Him to, oh so slightly, sin against God (Numbers 27:12-14; Deuteronomy 3:23-28; Numbers 20:1-13). We must also take into account that Aaron was already dead and that the people entering into the promised land were the younger generations--those younger than twenty (with the exception of those who had not sinned against God. (Numbes 14:26-28) God Bless! Angel |
