2 | what does it mean that Christ rose AGAIN | Ps 103:1 | Morant61 | 175467 | ||
Greetings Freegrace! Thanks for providing a reference! Sometimes, translatations vary because of a textual difference in the manuscripts used. However, in this case there is no know textual differences. Simply put, there is no word corresponding to 'again' in any of the Greek texts that I consulted. So, these translations do not 'omit' it, since it is not there in the first place. ;-) The actual Greek text simply says, "and that he was buried and that he has been raised on the day the third according to the scriptures" In fact, if you check the Strong's numbers in the KJV text, 'again' is listed as the same number with 'rose'. I hope this helps! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
