Elise Fox...seems everytime God speaks it must be storming...yes I believe it was in an audible voice but to those that dont know God its just thunder and lightning...(Exodus 19:16 there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount...(1Samuel 2:10)The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces;out of heaven shall he thunder upon them...(2Samuel 22:14)The Lord thundered from heaven, and The Most High uttered His voice...(Job 37:4)After it a voice roareth:He thundereth with the voice of His excellency...(John 12:29)The people therefore, that stood by,and heard it,said that it thundered:others said,An angel spake to Him...God also speaks to us when we have storms in our lives like Paul in Acts 27...God Bless

Job 33:14,15.For God does speak now one way, now another. v15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men as they slumber in their beds. as in (Daniel 1:17). 33:16,17 he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings,v17. to turn man from wrongdoing and keep him from pride. Jesus taught that one role of the Holy Spirit was to convict those who comtemplate doing wrong (John 16:8).the apostle Paul says that God has placed a knowledge of himself in every human being (Romans 1:19-20) because people are created n the image of God, each person knows the difference between right and wrong, even if they have never read a word in the Bible.v19 Or a man may be chastened on a bed of pain with constant distress in his bones. Pain in our lives have a way of bringing our attention to God and leading us to examine ourselves. as in Job's case suffering is not always punitive or corrective. sometimes it is used to instruct. it is wrong to call all suffering the judgement of God; the Lord's final rebuke of Job's friends is proof of that. God richly bless you.
