2 | What must we "understand"? | Job 28:28 | Searcher56 | 105486 | ||
Scripture ... Job 1:1, 8, 2:3, 28:28; Psa 5:4, 51; Pro 9:10; Jas 1:13; 3Jo 11 ... Mommapbs Evil and God are opposites ... I think of Psalm 51, where David knew the consequnces of doing evil. God cannot be tempted by evil (Jas 1:13) and no evil dwells with Him (Psa 5:4) Thrice in Job we see "fearing God and turning away from evil" (Job 1:1, 8, 2:3) ... when we fear God, we will leave evil ... and understand Him. Having evil precludes that. We need to follow suit ... "Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God" (3Jo 11).
