New Creature: I can say with an infatic mind set, that Tim LaHey, John Hagee, and the Left Hehind endless set of fiction books, should peresent the WORD as it is, not as they make it up for the mighty dollar. I believe Jesus had the best available facts in which we can gain insight as to His rerturn. Matt24:13 we have to endure to the end. Verse 21-31 tells us after the tribulation He will return, and not in a secret way! Verse 36 tells us ONLY THE FATHER KNOWS WHEN JESUS will return. The rest of the chapter deals with us being ready. For me this makes it rather easy to understand, and I find it is in sink with the rest of Scripture. I won't argue with anyone who thinks I am very wrong. I don't consider this worth disfellowshiping over. With the exception of those who think the Cloud Ten LEFT BEHIND films are even close to Scripture. Even then I choose to back away, rather than argue. I think there is always hope that there is the possibility of a revival. I don't see much of a true desire of a real change in North America, unless the Lord is willing to give the USA and Canada Mercy, after our countries have made a mockery out of very basic of human sexuality. Romans Chapter one clearly states Gods wrath is on its way! I encourage you to be the one to start a fire where you live. Just maybe the Lord will use YOU! I pray so. Blessings and peace. |

Justme I agree I'm not a big fan of the Left Behind for two reasons. The first and biggest is they portray the tribulation period as an adventure. With good guys and bad guys mixing it up. However if I read Revelations right the tribulation period is going to be more dog eat dog and just surviving is going to be an effort. The bad guys will be in charge and all hell will be broken loose. It will not be a time of high adventure it will be a time filled with regret and anguish. The other problem I have is too many are going to use this series for theology. It is like the movie Ten Commandments where they portray the children of Israel leaving Egypt with the stretchers with sick and crippled hobbling on their way. That is how many people picture it except Psalm 105:37 tells us “He also brought them out with silver and gold, And there was none feeble among His tribes. “ People completely miss this great miracle of God after 400 years of slavery God strengthen them to walk out. This is just one example of the bad the theology people pick up. Does the book do good? Yes at least while people are reading them they aren’t able to be reading Harry Potter or some other piece of junk. EdB |

EdB:-) I think if some where something simular to the smoking warnigs on packs of cancer sticks, these books in bold print stated this book may be hazerdous to your correct Spiritual growth and Biblical understanding. Then it might be more helpful. I think if a person had read all the books in this series, it would be more reading than it would be to read the Bible completely twice. Something seems very wrong in all this. Or is it justme? Get it? justme |

Justme They do have a nack for stretching out the story. But once again I like to think of their value being that while people were/are reading them they are staying out of other trouble. ;-) EdB |

EdB: Greetings! I find that reading Scripture is really what my soul yearns for. I feel so inadiquate for the task we have while on this planet. Time is passing by so quickly. For me, it was just what seems like a couple of years ago I was young and a handsome. Now my grandchildren tease me that I am as old as dirt! Need I remind you dirt is by no means handsome, unless you live in Missouri where we grow rocks with each rain. These home grown rocks are called "Missouri Potatoes". Blessings. justme |

Justme I too like to read the Word, however I think we are in the minority. Most of the world would rather watch TV, see a movie or do most anything than read. If they do read they have a way of shunning any thing worth while. So while I'm not a great fan of the Left Behind series I would rather see my grandchildren reading that than watching Boy meets boy on TV. Also if you go to into any Christian Book store and look at the fiction section or in some cases the Christian Living section you will see books that contain so much lousy theology they shouldn't be allowed in a Christian Book store and won't have been twenty years ago. EdB: My wife and I have often remarked how little people know about the authors who write these books in the Christian Book Store. If all the authors were forced at one time in a large empty room there would be utter war as never seem on this earth. Just imagine Oral Roberts, with Rev. Jerry Vine. Perhaps Benny Hinn with Rev. Charles Stanley, Jotce Myers with Jonie Tada. Or how about Pres. Bush with Tim Lahey as Sect. of State! How about Arnold S. as Govener of Calif? We live in strange times, and facts are stranger than fiction in our world. justme |
