John, A creed, according to its general acceptation, is a summary of certain principles adopted by an association of individuals as articles of belief, This is where I beg a differ. According to general acceptation: God perpective should be the only basis. A million of people could believe something and be totally off. It scares me to think of how many false doctrines I have. But someday I'll find out and be corrected on them. If the local church considers to be the body of Christ why do they put up a creed and say you must believe this in order to be welcome here and grow in Christ. I can imagine great Hearos of the faith, and they are just that grerat heros of the faith are sitting in heaven saying oh man I can't believe I believed that. I can imagine Peter is up there and Jesus saying to Him. I TOLD YOU, you were going to bring the gospel into all the world not just Israel. I read in the paper here a major Denominational Church created a new Constitution. SOme of the missionaries would not agree to sign that constitution. Those missionaries lost the support. I know I have a "critical spirit". I pray about it daily. But boy ther way alot of churches are running today OUCH! I think there is nothing better than going to a house meeting and worshiping God, digging into His word and allowing the Holy Spirit to flow. There is no constituation in those situations. There is just you and a few people and God. and His Word. What more do you need? I don't think you need a thing more. The day of Pentecost was like that. No constitution or creed just a small group of people loving God in one accord and about 3000 got saved by Loving God and teaching the Word, allowing the Holy Spirit work. That is exactly what we need. Nothing more nothing less. In Crist, Darcy |

Dear Darcy Let me give you one Scriptural reference to it's description of the church. Maybe you will see that even the church in Bibical times was considered the pillar and ground of truth. the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. 1 Tim. 3:15b God Bless you New Creature |
