1 | Was I wrong? | 2 John | lionheart | 194251
Jesus_Keeps_Me, Welcome to the forum. Why did these folks come to you? Were you able to share your faith with them. Verse ten of 2 John tells us not to invite them in. (False Teachers) John tells us not to show hospitality to false teachers. Who were these folks? Were they atheists, Agnostic??? I know brothers who were former atheists who are today standing disciples of Jesus Christ. I think John was referring to those who were teaching a false Gospel. Paul even refers to individuals like this. We were all unbelievers at one time. Was this something they were teaching or were you just dealing with some folks who simply don't believe. In Him, lionheart |

Thanks brother that is a good idea. I love people and I was alone and I guess that might also be a reason that I felt so overwhelmed. But I really love people and I hope to be a light for them. Love and God Bless--Sissy
3 | Was I wrong? | 2 John | lionheart | 194293
Sissy, God bless you sis. We all can feel overwhelmed at times, it's happened to all of us. There is no shame in being overwhelmed. Look at Jesus in the garden, but look at how he handled it, He stayed close to the Father and He surrendered His will to the Father. (Not my will but yours be done.) Take heart in what God's Word ays about you. Check out 2 Corinthians 5:20, 1 John 3:1,2. Pretty powerful stuff dear. Be confident in who God says you are dear and thats the bottom line cause God says so. Keep swinging dear sis! In Him, lionheart |
