1 | 666 Adonikamim or 667? | Ezra 2:13 | Makarios | 9172
Should we believe Ezra who says there were 666 Adonikamim or Nehemiah when he says there were 667? (Neh. 7:18) Or is it possible both were right? How?

Nolan, if you look at both list, there are other differences. I read that it could be a copiest error. The Adonikamim are alos listed in Ezr 8:13. We now that the Bible is inspired, but if someone cannot read or copy the numbers - it should not make the Bible any less vivible. Steve |

3 | 666 Adonikamim or 667? | Ezra 2:13 | Makarios | 9441
Blessings Steve! I agree, it could just be a copyist's error.. And even though I cannot begin to explain this apparent 'contradiction', it does not take away anything from the fact that the Bible is the perfect Word of God! It could be seen as remarkable that these two accounts in Ezra and Nehemiah are so very close in precision, even though they do not entirely match up perfectly in the translations that we now have in English.
