I know the bible doesnt speak of a "RAPTURE"..i heard the so called rapture is when people think they can fly off and be saved when the anticrist is here, am I right? When 2 are in the field and 1 is taken. I think I am supposed to be the one left since i believe i am saved by the blood of Jesus Christ,, am i right? but when does God speak through me if i am left behind? | ||||||

Greetings Legsrandall, You asked a question about the rapture. Even though the word "rapture" is not in the Bible, the whole theology of the rapture is based on 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18, when "we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord." (verse 17) In all fairness, Paul wrote this to comfort those who mourned the loss (and wondered about the eternal destiny) of those who had died before the coming of the Lord. So, if that means that the whole theology of the rapture is 'far-fetched' at best, then you would have the opportunity to express how you interpret this verse, but there certainly can be no doubt about the Second Coming of Christ! (Matthew 24:30) We must be found "ready" at His return by living a life that is pleasing to Him as a result of placing our faith in Him as the Lord and Savior of our very lives. Blessings to you, Makarios |

Makarios(:-) Very well said, Matthew 24 and 25 is when Christ said to be ready. No matter what we think will happen or when our faith is in Jesus is coming again, and we are to be ready. Blessings. justme |
