God's day to you, Big O, For a number to mean anyting, even symbolic, the Bible must tell us so, or must be consistent. So is five ALWAYS about grace. From Brad's post... a. Five Levitical offerings- Lev. 1–5; ... how is this grace b. Five Israelites to chase 100 enemies- Lev. 26:8; ... doubt this is about grace c. Five wise virgins- Matt. 25:2; ... there were five foolish virgins d. Five barley loaves used by Jesus to feed the 5,000- Matt. 14:17" ... grace?? ... and is there grace in "He took portions to them from his own table, but Benjamin's portion was five times as much as any of theirs" (Gen 43:34).
