Thanks for your response, John15. Sorry it took so long to get back to my orginal question. It dawned on me right after I asked it that I would be gone for an extended holiday over an extra long Thanksgiving. Should have waited. :) I REALLY am curious as to WHEN churchs started using grape juice RATHER than wine during communion. Your comment about "AA members being tempted or excluded", I don't follow. Surely - Paul wasn't thinking of some far-dated, secular organization that refuses to acknowledge the sole power of the only true God. Thanks anyway, TommyS |

Not all churches serve grape juice, some even use both and allow personal choice. Mainline churches have tried to remove "stumbling blocks" from the path of believers, other than that I do not think that scripture clearly defines the strength of the "wine/juice of the grape. Titus 3:9 ( why even care? ) |
