cougargurl134, Acts was written 60-80 AD, most likely by 63AD soon after Paul's house arrest is recorded in its last chapter. Acts is a continuation of Luke's Gospel. I think the primary purpose is laid out in the first eight verses of Acts especially Acts 1:8 and documented in the remainder of the book. Acts 1:8 "but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."
