Hello inspirational..., There are numerous passages within scripture that proclaim Divine authority. Here are a several of them: The opening verse in Genesis 1 certainly proclaims God's (divine) authority "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." 1 Chr 29:11 "Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O LORD, and You exalt Yourself as head over all." Is 44:6 "Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: 'I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me. Is 44:7 'Who is like Me? Let him proclaim and declare it; Yes, let him recount it to Me in order, From the time that I established the ancient nation. And let them declare to them the things that are coming And the events that are going to take place." 1 Tim 1:17 "Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen." (NASB) I hope this helps, BradK |
