Hi masomes, Welcome to the forum. I am a person who is interested in the capitalization of pronouns of Deity and I see your question as one that can be looked at with that perspective. When one speaks of the Spirit as you have done you are speaking of the Holy Spirit, the Person. John 6:63, "It is the **Spirit who GIVES LIFE; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life." John 5:21, "For just as the **Father raises the dead and GIVES THEM LIFE, even so the Son also gives life to whom He wishes." John 14:22, "Judas (not Iscariot), said to Him, "Lord, what then has happened that You are going to disclose **Yourself to us, and not to the world?" 23 Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our abode with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep **My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me. 25 These things I have spoken to you, while abiding with you. 26 But the Helper, [the Holy Spirit], whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that **I said to you." These Scriptures show the role of the Trinity in the life of a believer. They show the importance of a believer to hear the words of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. But I think also that they show the importance of listening to the spirit [sic]. John 3:8, "The wind [Spirit] blows where it [He] wishes..." John 3:11, NKJ, "Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak that which We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness." I believe that we have to hear the Word and also the words. From the heart, Ray |
