The most reliable early manuscripts and other ancient witnesses do not have Mark 16:9 to 20. There are other scriptures in other spots that have minor additions like this one. The editors want you fully informed when they come across these. Nothing of the Gospel is changed, and therefor it in notworthy. agape, justme |

Some christians use these verses to state that if you aren't Baptized, then you aren't getting into Heaven, correct? Also...all you need to get into Heaven is to ask Jesus into your heart, correct? What verses state or deny each question/statement? | ||||||

Timmybean: Welcome to the forum! I see this is your very first note. You are correct in your statement that the basic first step in being a Christian is to ask Christ to into your life. However, with that comes the proof of making Jesus Christ Lord, is to obey His commands. A Christian will want to identify and confess Jesus is Lord by being Baptized. I believe if we look at someone who has been a Christian for some length of time and has not been baptized, then there is something very seriously wrong. I hope this helps. Enjoy the Forum and feel free to ask something else if you wish. Blessings to you Timmy. justme |
