1 | How do we attain righteousness? | Matthew | greeneyedtweety | 38484
Romans 4 talks extensively about righteousness as a result of faith and obedience. Romans 5:17 specifically says it is a gift from God. And Matthew 5:6 and 6:33 tell us that it is something we should seek earnestly for, and that if we do, God will fill us with his righteousness. I believe it comes as a result of accepting Christ as Saviour and Lord and asking His Holy Spirit to transform us continually so we become more and more like Christ. It is not a something we can earn by being good. It is God's work in us that comes through our faith and obedience.
