1 | Mt. 27 Dead men walking | Matthew | zach† | 34614 | ||
Here is something that has puzzled me for some time now and i hope someone can provide some good answer for what I am about to ask.I will use the NASB text. (just after Christ yielded up His spirit (Mt. 27:50) Mat. 27:51-53 says: "the earth shook; and the rocks were split, and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep (meaning they died) were raised; and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they entered and appeared to many. Now my question is this: With such an unusual event such as this happening in Jerusalem, wouldn't you suppose more would have been written about this? I mean here were many bodies of dead saints raised to life and they entered Jerusalem and appeared to many. I can vididly imagine if that were to happen today, CNN, FOX and CNBC would be there with live coverage So why don't we find more written on this. Or has any one come across any historical writtings that might have mentioned this event? In Christ zach† |
