2 | if we know somebody has a problem with | Matthew | prayon | 6191 | ||
Matt 5 is saying that if we suddenly remember that another person feels something against us we are to leave our gift at the alter and go and attempt to straighten things out with the person. If we don't we will not feel the consciousness of His pleasure in us and our gift until we have obeyed His commands first. In Matt 18 Jesus is saying that when there is hard feelings between a brother and a sister it can lead to disunity and spiritual weakness in the church. Therefore if another has wronged you or the church without cause, your work is to draw that one back to God, by love, by realizing that you too are tempted and sin. Your actions should never be to ignore but to win that person back to personal fellowship and fellowship with God. |
