1 | not to marry other than your race? | Song of Solomon | Morant61 | 26760
Greetings SRN! As Searcher already pointed out, the commands in the Old Testament (addressed only to Israel by the way), were based on religion, not skin color. Mal. 2:11-13 is the same thing. Notice that v. 11 says that they married the daughters of a "foreign God." Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

3 | not to marry other than your race? | Song of Solomon | Morant61 | 26778
Greetings SRN! What does that have to do with what the Bible says? :-) I happen to be a WASP! I would say all racial discrimination is wrong! However, everyone should have the right not to marry a Satanist for instance! That is all God was commadning Israel to do, not to marry people of other faiths because they would be led astray into idol worship. And historically, we know that this did indeed occur. But, we never see anywhere in Scripture where people are forbidden to marry someone of a different race, because of skin color or race. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

5 | not to marry other than your race? | Song of Solomon | Morant61 | 26824
Greetings SNR! The Jews were a race, but the marriage restriction was not based upon race. It was based upon religion. There were provisions in the Old Testament for aliens to become Jews. I believe that it was permissable to marry them. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
