1 | We readily believe what we can't prove | 1 Kin 22:22 | 48263
My question of why would God say that it was ok for a particular spirit to put a lying spirit in the mouth of prophets was answered, I guess, in the best way that it could have been answered,(1 Kings 22:20-22). My spirit is unsettled about the actions of the God being identical to those of Satan. Are we really suppose to assume that when God becomes angry, then he will do as the devil would do? I read how God is being portrayed in the bible. Jeremiah 19:9 speaks of how our loving God will cause us to eat the flesh of our sons and our daughters as a form of punishment. The Loving God is so powerful, and does not have to do something so sick and twisted. Nor does the Loving God have evil spirits just waiting for the opportunity to attack his own people. I rely on my spirit, now more than ever, to lead me in life. That is the only real 100 percent truth that we have. The bible has lies and truth mixed together, and we are suppose to pull it out. Hopefully we draw the right conclusion. The Loving God wants us to have understanding. What we have here is man placing alot of his/her own views and opinions and thoughts into what is suppose to be the DIVINE WORD OF GOD. Knowledge Is Power! I once heard that the most effective way to protect yourself from subconscience munipulation and control is to be aware of how it works. Very Powerful statement. The Loving God has not abandoned us. Seek and ye shall find. Seek the knowledge, and history, not His-story.

Greetings luvconquers, Where does the Bible have "lies and truth mixed together"? In no way are the actions of God identical to the actions of Satan. If you read in 1 Kings 22:20-22, the Lord is bringing judgment upon wicked Ahab by allowing a 'lying spirit' to entice his prophets, even though Micaiah the prophet is telling Ahab all of this beforehand! Would Satan warn the King of what he is about to do and just how he is going to do it before it happens? Of course not. Satan would not give any warning for the subtle temptations and devices that he would use. The Lord was gracious, even at this point to King Ahab, by giving Micaiah this prophecy, so that Micaiah would go and tell the King, even though the King would despise Micaiah's advice, and Micaiah spoke the very Truth! In no way are the Lord's ways the same as the ways of Satan. And Knowledge is not total power! The power of God is found in love. And love conquers all, since God is love (1 John 4:8; 1 Corinthians 13). Knowledge is nothing without love (1 Cor. 13:2). Blessings to you, Makarios |
