Greetings Searcher! Yes, I agree that Israel had one King and Judah another after Solomon, even though Rehoboam was King over all Israel before he acted foolishly. The Israelites (minus the tribe of Judah) did not make Jeroboam their King until after he returned from witnessing Rehoboam's foolish decision in 12:12-13. So, technically, Rehoboam was the immediate successor to the throne after Solomon, even though Rehoboam's kingdom, and all Israel, would eventually be divided against itself. Blessings to you!
