Searcher56 I think you forgot Simeon and included Levi who really were in both the northern and southern kingdoms. Also it should be noted the Manassah and Ephraim are one tribe from Joseph. EdB |

Searcher Your right Simeon's land was south but I think when the split took place most of the original land boundaries had blurred and the actual split was along tribal line rather than land boundaries. The southern kingdom or Judah it was referred only included the two tribes Benjamin and Judah. Even then there was a great deal of mixing, as many stayed where they lived rather than where the tribal headship went. Your right Levites had no land and we see them both in the northern kingdom and southern. EdB |
