Hi.. I'm curious about this, hope some one can answer mi.. Why was there a Northern and Southern Kingdom in 1 Kings?? Why were they separated? For how long were they separated?? | ||||||

Why this happened is explained in 1 Kings 11 and 12. It was Solomon's idoloatry. The two kingdoms were never reunited. The split came about 930 BC. The Northern Kingdom, Israel was destroyed by the Assyrians and comes to an end about 722 B.C. (2 Kings 17).The Southern Kingdom, Judah, lasts until the Babylonian Exile in 587 B.C. (2 Kings 24:18-25, 30). | ||||||
