Why do you suppose we choose some questions that have already been asked to just answer, and some questions that have already been asked to use as a launching pad for sarcastic chat-room posts? With over 100,000 posts on this site, would it be fair to say that probibily 80 percent or more of the questions people ask have been asked before? Is it beyond our grasp to think that we might consistantly answer in love and respect? |

Mark I suspect it might be effected by our mood. At times we allow frustrations to be seen at other times we just chuckle that people refuse to use the search feature before asking the same questions over and over. I think the reason many people refuse to search first is a self centered view. They really don't care how much effort someone else expends answering their question they just don't want to expend any themselves. In other cases the person is new to the web or forum in particular and they just aren’t aware of the search feature. I try to read the question if the question is stated using reasonable language skills, seems to be from perhaps a new person to the internet, and is asked politely I usually tell them how to find the answer for themselves. I also usually if the question is not too involved give them the answer. However if the question is stated in a confusing manner, uses only sub basic language skills, or is just rude and demanding I will simply tell this person to do a search. I pray for the day when Christ is perfected in me and I have patience to put up with self centered, demanding people that think the world owes them everything and can give them a sweet answer every time. But as of the present I still let my frustrations show through on some posts and I think that is the case with many of the others. EdB |
