1 | Why didn't Noah stop tower of Babel? | Genesis | DarcyA | 95737
The Bible and the calculator :) Keep going Makarios, you can make it all the way to Jacob :) I gotta find out what I did with my Genology notes. You will find that Genesis didn't have to move very far to get to Moses. God Bless you, Darcy |

Greetings Darcy! Yes, I'm learning! :-) Wow!! You know, that really surprises me, now that I notice the length of the years that these people lived in relation to the specific events that occurred in Israel's history.. And I, of course, believe that the Bible speaks of literal "days" and "years." :-) I love it when reading and studying Scripture shows you something that you didn't notice before! :-) Blessings to you, Makarios |

Here is some info I have found, Its not the main nots on it but its when I was studing this This could be how the Creation and flood story got to Abraham. Adam got to talk to his Lamech Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great (I think that many greats) Grandson whom was the father of Noah. Methuselah would have died in the flood! Lamech would have told Noah his son Noah Would have told Shem his son Shem was alive when Abraham was alive thus Shem possibly could have told Abraham. God Bless, Darcy |

4 | Why didn't Noah stop tower of Babel? | Genesis | Makarios | 95751
Greetings Darcy, You are correct, the flood came in the very year that Methuselah passed away. But he may have passed away before the flood waters came. As we know, Noah was 600 years old when the flood came (Gen. 7:6), so Lamech, Noah's father, had just passed away five years before the flood (Gen. 5:30). Therefore, everyone else that was left on the earth would die, and Noah would then become the oldest living human being after the flood. Blessings to you, Makarios |

Excuse me for "butting in", but the name Methuselah acutally means "His death shall bring." Interesting to think it took him 969 years for his name to take on the meaning his parents gave him, don't you think? Tom |
