2 | Who was the mother of twelve sons? | Genesis | Makarios | 55399
Greetings Angelface! Abraham did not have twelve sons. The two sons that Abraham did have, Isaac and Ishmael, were bore to him by Sarai and Hagar (respectively). Blessings to you, Makarios |

Makarios, Genesis 25:1-2 says "Now Abraham took another wife, whose name was Keturah. She bore to him Zimran and Jokshan and Medan and Midian and Ishbak and Shuah." So the total was eight. God called Isaac his only son (22:2). Searcher |

Greetings Searcher, Yes, I know. But my point is that I was answering Angelface's questions, and it is quite clear that Angelface is asking the same questions over and over again. Your attempt at trying to prove me wrong is besides the point. Searcher, I think that you would agree with me (I hope) that Abraham did not have twelve sons. Also, I have noticed that whenever I make a 'return' to the Forum, the volume of posts seems to increase, as opposed to when I am away. :) Blessings to you, Makarios |

Makarios, I was correcting what you said. The number is eight, or one ... and I agree it is not 12. I did notice the posts the posts did increase ... there's something about you. Searcher

Greetings Searcher, All covert intentions and things better left unsaid aside.. :-) I admire the way that you have continued on and stuck with this Forum, and I appreciate the way that you stick with the Bible itself, offering your viewpoints, which are unique and offer us a different perspective. But you have been blessed in many more ways than I have! The Lord has been rich in blessing you in ways that I can only dream.. For instance, you are a Computer Programmer. That is something that I endeavored to do, but failed. That is why I am working for an insurance company, because I simply could not make it in computers. The Lord has definitely blessed you in a way that I had hoped that He would have blessed me. Also, you have a family of your own - a wife and children. You most likely have your own house as well! I am as single as a man could be, and I live in an apartment.. Now just who is the one who is blessed here? :) It is you, by all means! :) All of the joys of a husband and as a father that you have experienced, I have not known. Also, the Lord has given you much more experience and many more years than He has given me! I'm a 26 year old man. And I will always be lesser in age than you are, my friend. So just who is blessed here? Just who has the Upper Hand? There is no comparison! Is it me, or is it you? Definitely you, hands down! :) So does it really matter just who is ahead in posts? Does it matter who has the upper hand in an argument on a Bible Forum? Does it matter who can quote the Bible more accurately than another? The Lord has blessed both of us, my friend, and some more than others. Why do we quibble about the little things? Perhaps we should take a step back and say, "Well, perhaps it was the Lord's will to bless others in the way that they are blessed!" And, my friend, I am thankful that it was the Lord's will for me to write as many posts as I have, even though I would still be the same if I had not written so many posts. But I am thankful that we are together and can learn from each other. My friend, we should not be in a spirit of competition with each other. Let us please let that pass! Let us work together as Brothers in the LORD, so that we can win some of these people who visit this site for Jesus Christ. And let the world be amazed at the love that we exhibit and share on this site! Blessings to you, Makarios |
