121 | John 1:12 | John 3:3 | BMyers | 225333
I didn't know there was much confusion around John 1:12 today. Verse 13, explains further about verse 12. In Jesus time, this concept could of been hard to grasp since they didn't have the completed Scriptures and this was basically be presented as a new concept to them. As far as Jerome’s Commentary (assuming you are referring to the New Jerome’s Commentary), I think a Catholic forum would be more of a suited place for that discussion. My very limited knowledge is that this commentary is very debatable. Brad |

122 | When, what and who are included? | Rev 7:14 | BMyers | 224244
The answer is yes, maybe, and no. The timing of the tribulation is what is at debate. If you are a pre-tribulation thought, then only unsaved go through the tribulation, if you are mid-tribulation, then Christians go through half of the tribulation before the rapture occurs and if you are a post-tribulation, then as you guessed, you go through the whole tribulation. I am of the belief of the pre-tribulation. Here is a link www.gotquestions.org/tribulation.html that explains it a little more. Now with that being said, there are others who disagree and can provide support for the belief of mid- or post-tribulation. The key thing is to be ready for the coming of our Lord and Savior regardless of when the tribulation comes. Brad |

124 | apostles voted for another after Judas | Acts | BMyers | 224167
Act 1:23 And they put forward two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was also called Justus, and Matthias. Act 1:24 And they prayed and said, "You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen Act 1:25 to take the place in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place." Act 1:26 And they cast lots for them, and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles. (ESV) I believe this is a denominational trait and not a Biblical principal. Brad |

125 | What does the Bibles say about Deacons? | 1 Timothy | BMyers | 224048
1 Timothey is what comes to mind when asked about qualifications. 1Ti 3:8 Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for dishonest gain. 1Ti 3:9 They must hold the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. 1Ti 3:10 And let them also be tested first; then let them serve as deacons if they prove themselves blameless. 1Ti 3:11 Their wives likewise must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, faithful in all things. 1Ti 3:12 Let deacons each be the husband of one wife, managing their children and their own households well. 1Ti 3:13 For those who serve well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus. 126 | Verse: small things added up? | Ps 32:6 | BMyers | 223826
6 These things add up. Every one of us needs to pray when all hell breaks loose and the dam bursts we'll be on high ground, untouched. (MESSAGE) The closest I could find was using the paraphrased Message Bible. If you look at the NASB, you will see the verse reads different. Brad |

127 | Were do angel fear to tread? | Bible general Archive 4 | BMyers | 223804
I don't believe the Bible states anything about this topic. I know the phrase was a title of a novel, the title of a 1991 movie, and title of a couple of albums/songs by various artist (little internet research). I can't think of any scripture that says angels are afraid to walk somewhere. Brad |

128 | 3 names of the Holy Spirit | Bible general Archive 4 | BMyers | 223720
You almost need an advocate or counselor to be a helper on this question. Then again, maybe a good comforter could help bring the spirit of wisdom and revelation. Brad |

129 | Money changers in Temple | Matthew | BMyers | 223632
My limited understanding, the original purpose of the money changers was to allow travels who had come from other areas to purchase the required sacrifices that they had been unable or unwilling to bring with them. Since some came from other a far, this required them to change their money for the temple money so they could buy the sacrifices. Brad |

130 | Is it a sin to kill mice? | Ex 20:13 | BMyers | 223630
Exo 20:13 "You shall not murder. Which scripture are you referring to about killing? I kill every mouse that I can with traps or poison, don't want them in my house or my office at work. Brad |

131 | Crusifixtion a sacrafice? John 3:16 | Bible general Archive 4 | BMyers | 223560
The first question I have for you, how much do you look forward to your own death? If you are a Christian, you know it is only a temporal death, yet many still do not look forward to the end. Your body will fight to stay alive as long as it can. With that being said, when you die, you are not taking on the sins of the WHOLE world; you aren't even taking on your sins. Christ, who was without sin, took on everyone’s sin. I don't think we can even imagine what that would be like. His death "only lasted three days". Let me place you in a totally dark room, void of everything except the walls that are keeping you in and see how long three days feels like to you. Ultimately, the most important part, the Son of God, who knew no sin, became sin, so that we could be found acceptable to the Father. He did what we couldn’t do and paid the price by taking on the sin that we can't get rid of on our own. He willing accepted my wickedness on His perfect state so that I might be redeemed. Christ bears the scars from that day (John 20:27) when HE took on the sins of the world. Brad |

132 | Enoch not in the approved writings ? | Bible general Archive 4 | BMyers | 223549
Enoch is not in the cannonized Scriptures unless you are a member of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church which has the book of Enoch. From my quick searching, no one else has cannonized the Book of Enoch. Brad |

133 | Jesus? | Zech 13:7 | BMyers | 223254
If you read Matthew 26:31 and 32, you can answer the first part of your question. Mat 26:31 Then Jesus said to them, "You will all fall away because of me this night. For it is written, 'I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.' Mat 26:32 But after I am raised up, I will go before you to Galilee." (ESV) As far the second part, I will have to give it some thought before I try to answer that part. Brad |

134 | What does lamp and oil symbolize? | Matthew | BMyers | 223235
They symbolize, lamp and oil. The point isn't about the lamp and oil, but about the virgins being prepared for the bridegroom. Matthew 25:13 hit the main point, be prepared because we never know when the Lord will return. Brad |

135 | Pastor giving a wrong info | Luke 6:37 | BMyers | 223227
Have you talked to your pastor? Maybe he has been given wrong information and doesn't realize. I have questioned my pastor before and he has been willing to explain his thoughts and where he got his information. We have "sharpened" each other. Brad |

It sounds like your questions are coming from a person with Islamic background and is based out of the Qur'an and not the Bible. The temptation of Eve is covered in Genesis Chapter 3. Brad |
