1 | what sould i do? | 1 John 1:5 | walc | 81119
Dear Friend, you do not need to worry about not going to a church. It is not a necessary step to salvation. When Christ speaks of a Church, he is refering to his body. It is a building. I too did not attend a specific Church for a period of time. However, remember that Christ does want us to have fellowship with fellow Christians. If possible, find a good Bibilical Church to attend or have Bible studies with fellow Christians. Refer to 1 John 1:5-8 and also James 5:16. I pray that our Lord may guide you whichever way he thinks its the best.
2 | Die daily for Paul | Mark 8:34 | walc | 80403
Let's refer to Mark 8:34- "When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, "Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me." "Most Christians today do not realize how important weakness, failure, discouragement, disappointmnet, suffering, testing, and trials are in the development of their Christian life. Through these dealings of God our natural sinful pride is being dealt with. God calls us away from ourselves so that through burying, rejecting, and denying self we may turn in faith unto our Lord Jesus and experience his life, peace, joy, and power." -Don Matzat (Christ-esteem, pg.79) In order to follow Christ, we must deny our sinful selves because it is because of sin we are here to suffer and die. But after Christ's death for us on the cross, He paid the price for us so that we are no longer going to hell. By belieiving in Christ, our sinful selves died on the cross along with Him and now we're living a new life under Christ, our Savior. So to die daily is to make sure that you are following God and what He has for you. Don't be selfish or live in sin, because God is our Savior, and we live for Him. we are dead in our sinful selves, and we should as 1 Corinthians 1:30 Paul writes "It is because of him (God the Father) that you are in Christ Jesus!" We are living under Jesus now with Him as the focus of our lives, not ourselves as the focus. In that passage, Paul was refering to his transition from his sinful self to a Christian. |

3 | Do you have to be baptized to be saved? | Rom 6:3 | walc | 80111
No you don't need to be baptised (water) to be saved. You need to be baptised (Holy Spirit) to be saved. Refer to Galatians 3:26 "For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus." THROUGH FAITH and FAITH ALONE. Once you believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are baptised with the Holy Spirt. Jesus' blood washes away your sins. Hebrews 9:22 "And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood, there is no remission." When Jesus speaks of baptism, Acts 1:5 John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptised with the Holy Spirit not many days from now." also see Acts 3:16 "And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, who you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all." Faith in Jesus, that's how Holy Spirit is given. and if you talk about "water" baptism, God is the living water. John 7:38 "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." |

5 | What I am asking is baptism a requiement | NT general Archive 1 | walc | 79716
Baptism is not a requirement. Faith in Jesus equals salvation, baptism is only a symbolism of your dedication to God, showing others that you are commmited. It is good that you get baptised, but it is not required.
