2 | Jesus have own will? | Bible general Archive 1 | tykelt | 5949
5:19 Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner. John 5:30 "I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. John 8:28 So Jesus said, "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me. It seems clear in these verses that Jesus does the Father's will, period. |

Sin is none of these things and therefore He would have no desire to do them. This may seem like a simple answer, but really it is a simple question. Yours in Christ, tykelt |

4 | why was the face-cloth lying aside rolle | John 20:7 | tykelt | 5944
If you look at the King James version on the Bible, you will see that the 'face-cloth' is actually called a 'napkin' and this has a very important meaning. In the times of Jesus it was customary for a person to crumple their napkin haphazardly and leave it on their plate if they enjoyed a meal and would like to return to the house they were visiting. If they were unhappy with the meal and company, and planned never to return to the home they would neatly fold the napkin beside their plate. The napkin Jesus wore on his head was neatly folded to the side signifying he would never return to that place or to death.
