1 | Can someone explain this verse. | Gen 48:22 | theWatchman | 96819
Dear Darcy Maby this will shead some light on teh subject Ge 48:22 v8-22 The two good men own God in their comforts. Joseph says, They are my sons whom God has given me. Jacob says, God hath showed me thy seed. Comforts are doubly sweet to us when we see them coming from God's hand. He not only prevents our fears, but exceeds our hopes. Jacob mentions the care the Divine providence had taken of him all his days. A great deal of hardship he had known in his time, but God kept him from the evil of his troubles. Now he was dying, he looked upon himself as redeemed from all sin and sorrow for ever. Christ, the Angel of the covenant, redeems from all evil. Deliverances from misery and dangers, by the Divine power, coming through the ransom of the blood of Christ, in Scripture are often called redemption. In blessing Joseph's sons, Jacob crossed hands. Joseph was willing to support his first-born, and would have removed his father's hands. But Jacob acted neither by mistake, nor from a partial affection to one more than the other; but from a spirit of prophecy, and by the Divine counsel. God, in bestowing blessings upon his people, gives more to some than to others, more gifts, graces, and comforts, and more of the good things of this life. He often gives most to those that are least likely. He chooses the weak things of the world; he raises the poor out of the dust. Grace observes not the order of nature, nor does God prefer those whom we think fittest to be preferred, but as it pleases him. How poor are they who have no riches but those of this world! How miserable is a death-bed to those who have no well-grounded hope of good, but dreadful apprehensions of evil, and nothing but evil for ever! Your brother in Christ |

2 | WHO DID CHRIST DIE FOR ?????? | Revelation | theWatchman | 96802
I agree, it is evil spirits, which people allow to rule their lives, unknowingly, or knowingly. Normally it is people that do not know better. So what I was trying to bring in to the light, is...that we should not hate the person, but rebuke the evil spirit behind their bad deeds. Then we must show Gods love to them, and pray for them, for them to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
3 | WHO DID CHRIST DIE FOR ?????? | Revelation | theWatchman | 96801
Rev.17:8 does not mean that some people's names were not written in the book of life from the creation of the world. It says that those who’s names are not in the book of life have chosen not to follow God, and wont appear in the book of life that was created from creation of the world, that had all peoples names in it. God knew from the beginning of time whose name will be in the book of life before creation.

Romans 14:10 You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat. |

5 | WHO DID CHRIST DIE FOR ?????? | Revelation | theWatchman | 96796
People go to hell, because of their disobedience to God and his Word. Read:Romans 10 8But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,"[1] that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 6 | WHO DID CHRIST DIE FOR ?????? | Revelation | theWatchman | 96794
Humpy....you must take the whole Bible in to context, if you read it out of context, and with out understanding the history properly and in depth...then you wont get the big picture, and you will be discouraged... Please read Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Whole Chapter: Ephesians 6 In context: Ephesians 6:11-13) Blessings in Christ Jesus |

8 | How many ressurrections in the bible | Matt 22:31 | theWatchman | 96585
Hebrews 6 1THEREFORE LET us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine of Christ (the Messiah), advancing steadily toward the completeness and perfection that belong to spiritual maturity. Let us not again be laying the foundation of repentance and abandonment of dead works (dead formalism) and of the faith [by which you turned] to God, 2With teachings about purifying, the laying on of hands, the resurrection from the dead, and eternal judgment and punishment. [These are all matters of which you should have been fully aware long, long ago.] 3If indeed God permits, we will [now] proceed [to advanced teaching]. |

Matthew 22 31But as to the resurrection of the dead--have you never read what was said to you by God, 32I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead but of the living! |

10 | once save always saved? | Revelation | theWatchman | 96573
Colossians 3:9-11 9Don't lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old evil nature and all its wicked deeds. 10In its place you have clothed yourselves with a brand-new nature that is continually being renewed as you learn more and more about Christ, who created this new nature within you. 11In this new life, it doesn't matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile,[1] circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized,[2] slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us. |
