1 | explain Pride to me | Dan 4:17 | tamikha | 177936
Hello, Pride show up in so many forms, but overall Pride is esteeming yourself higher than God's word permits. Anytime we think our way is better that is pride. If we are easily offended, that is pride also. However, we shouldn't walk around with low self esteem either. In some way's that is pride because God created you and who are you to judge his creation. As Christians we have Jesus in us and that is what we hold our confidence in. |

2 | Uzzah and Saul's similarities? | 1 Samuel | tamikha | 177935
In I Sam. 15, God gives a very clear instruction to Saul, to attack the Amalekites and destoy everything. Saul, in his natural human state, did what he felt was good, he spared the best of what the Amalekites had. At that point God rejected him as king. Uzzah, in II Sam 6, reached out to prevent the Ark of the covenant from falling because it looked like it was going to fall. Despite his good intent, God struck him becauae he gave a specifc orders about handling the ark. I hear so often the phrase 'God knows my heart', i just want revelation on when is it a matter of life and death? How much of the 'heart' really matters when God gives instructions? I guess its just more of a reason to praise Jesus and his work on earth for us. I probably would have done the same thing as Saul and Uzzah did with good intent. And i wonder, how much of my work now is out of good intent yet out of God's order. Thank you Lord for mercy and grace!!!! |
