1 | Proverbs 8 Wisdom Equals Jesus | Prov 8:22 | suzybeezy | 125337
Thank you very much for your response. I need to state first off that I am not a Jehovah Witness, nothing personal. I am a young lamb of God trying to seek understanding and sometimes stumble in my understandings. I truly loved what you said about reading carefully and examining the light of what the scriptures teach. I think I'm trying so hard to gain knowledge that I may be going overboard - if that's possible. I don't want to confuse my beliefs with contrary teachings. As you stated the word love can be used in many different ways it's difficult understanding sometimes how some of the writing of the bible are intended. I love this forum for the many different points of view and I love to read all the loving opinions. My 15 year old son commented on how wonderful it is that people care enough to take the time to answer my question. I thank those who take their valuable time and posted replies to those of us who struggle with a question or just enjoy a interactive debate. |

2 | Proverbs 8 Wisdom Equals Jesus | Not Specified | suzybeezy | 125307
Points of view on Prov. 8;23 being Jesus. I've read and re-read this and cross-referenced several different ways and I believe this is definately a reference that Wisdom is Jesus. Or I was thinking maybe it means its the wisom of the understanding of the great mystery (Col. 1;27)of Christ living in us. Also why does this whole chapter refer to Wisdom in the feminine form?

4 | Six sins Lord hates; Seven detestable | Prov 6:16 | suzybeezy | 125263
I realize the use of numbers has a significant importance in it's usage throughout the bible. It's importance in this instance stumps me. I can see your point that it is so we take particular notice to the verse, but I can get past the point that there must be another reason why. I just got stuck here and haven't figured it out. Pray that the Lord will release His wisdom to me regarding this or someone will shed the light.
5 | Are the Seven Deadly Sins in the Bible? | Prov 6:16 | suzybeezy | 125260
As you will see this question also perplexed me because I had been researching this same subject. I then asked my brother about why I couldn't find reference to the seven deadly sins and he advised me that it's only a Catholic thing. That regular translations do not include the reference of the seven deadly sins as they are classically thought of. Take that info for what it's worth.
