1 | Is there a difference in being baptized | Acts 2:38 | savedbygrace | 33386 | ||
Dear Praisemaster, When I was told that I had to be baptized in the name of Jesus in order to be saved, I was very distraught and my spirit was SO heavy. I began questioning my salvation! I prayed about it and told the Lord I was going to stand on his word (James 1:5). I also agree that this is unfortunately causing division among Christians. After further investigation, I came to the conclusion that God knows my heart and whom it is that I serve... and the moment I confessed that, the heaviness I felt was immediately lifted! Praise God! Thank you for all the verses, they will help me explain why I believe that I am, without a doubt, saved. Please pray for me that when I go back to those who questioned my salvation, that I can trust the Holy Spirit for the right words to explain why I believe what I believe and that no division will be caused. Your sister in Christ, Tina |
